If you believe every child deserves access to quality care, you’re already part of our movement.

Together, we can protect

health and safety

for all families in San Diego.

  • A family of four needs to earn more than $107,000 annually to afford child care

  • The price families pay for full-time care at a licensed child care center only covers 52% of the estimated true cost of high-quality care for an infant and 66% for a preschool aged child.

  • Despite being eligible, 69% of children ages 0-5 in San Diego County who qualify for a child care subsidy are not enrolled in a subsidized program.

  • First 5 San Diego funding has been reduced by millions in the last five years, resulting in less behavior support for kids and fewer opportunities for safety and quality training for early education.

We’re bringing

child care

to the voters in

San Diegans are gathering signatures for a ballot measure that will Protect San Diego County’s Health and Safety.

Children in San Diego County are under double threat from federal cuts to nutrition and healthcare and the lack of affordable, accessible childcare vital to children’s healthy development.

With local dedicated funding, we can protect our community with smart investments in our collective well-being.
